BYU's Collinsworth finishes 4th in NCAA 800M final, Utah's Murphy 5th in steeplechase

EUGENE, Ore. — Shea Martinez-Collinsworth’s final meet of her collegiate track career wrapped up with her third-straight All-American honor.

The former Davis High star ran the 800-meter final in 2 minutes, 02.30 seconds, — just .12 of a second off a career-best — to finish fourth on the final day of the NCAA women's track and field championships at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon.

Collinsworth, the wife of former BYU basketball standout Kyle Collinsworth, led for much of the second lap before falling behind down the stretch of her final BYU meet.

Oregon’s Raevyn Rogers won the 800-meter title in 2:00.02, followed by Virginia Tech’s Hanna Green in 2:01.32.

BYU sophomore Andrea Stapleton leapt 1.78 meters (5 feet, 10 inches) to finish 16th in the high jump Saturday. Georgia took the top two spots, with Madeline Fagan taking the individual title with a jump of 1.91 meters.

Utah junior Grayson Murphy, running in her first NCAA meet with the Utes, finished fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:53.66. Boise State freshman Allie Ostrander was first in 9:41.31.

Oregon won the team title, edging second-place Georgia, 64-62.2. BYU was 43rd with five points, and Utah was 48th with four points.
