SALT LAKE CITY — Cottonwood and Timpanogos wrapped up the Class 5A and 4A baseball titles, respectively, Friday afternoon, signaling the end of the 2016-17 high school sports season.
But before moving on to the return of football in the fall, take a look back at every spring sports title game from each of the five classifications.

Gabby Beckstrom smashed a three-run home run to give the Dons a 5-0 lead to start the second game, and Spanish Fork won its third-straight Class 4A softball title with a 17-5 win over Uintah at Valley Complex.
4A champ Alta grinds way to 1-0 win, 7th state title
Josh Affleck scored the only goal of the match in the eighth minute, and goalkeeper Adam Teerlink made it hold up to help the Hawks to their second state title in three seasons with a 1-0 victory over East in the Class 4A state championship Thursday at Rio Tinto Stadium.
Layton holds off Herriman on penalty kicks for first Class 5A boys soccer title since 2003
Leo Urrutia buried the decisive penalty and Sam Hunter made the decisive shootout save as the Lancers won their first state soccer title since 2003 with a 5-3 penalty-kick decision over Herriman in the Utah High School Activities Association state championship at Rio Tinto Stadium.

Freshman Cooper Vest belted a first-pitch, three-run home run over the right-field wall at Brent Brown Ballpark in Orem to give Dixie a 6-4 win over Snow Canyon in Saturday’s Class 3A state championship game.
