SALT LAKE CITY — We’re into week two of our “Best City” tournament, with only 16 cities remaining.

Once again, there were a few “upsets” in the Round of 32: No. 7 Wellsville beating out No. 2 Farr West in region one and No. 8 Beaver beating out No. 1 Salem in region three. Manti, a 15 seed, and Oakley, a 14 seed, remain the highest-seeded cities left in the tournament. Can they go the distance?

Manti came away with the largest margin of victory Friday, claiming 85 percent of all votes against Milford. A close second was Kanab, which garnered 83 percent of all votes against Wellington.

As a reminder, the voting will go throughout the day and will be officially called at midnight (votes after midnight will not count). Cities will continue to advance in similar fashion to that of the NCAA Tournament, with eight cities advancing to the next round — the Elite 8. The voting will resume for the Elite 8 on Friday, with the Final Four being held on Wednesday, March 29 and the championship round on Friday, March 31.

As always, there are no formal rules on how you should vote other than cheating is not allowed. Don’t overcomplicate the matter, and have fun.

May the “best” city win.
