The Shins, OK Go to headline Ogden Twilight concert series

OGDEN — Alternative rock bands The Shins and OK Go are headlining the third-annual Ogden Twilight Concert Series this summer, along with other local and international artists.

The Ogden Twilight Series announced its lineup Friday and will host concerts for five weeks, beginning June 1 and each Thursday after that (June 8, 15, 22 and 29). The concerts will be held at the Ogden Amphitheater.

The other main artists headlining the series include Oh Land, Louis the Child & TroyBoi and Miike Snow. Each concert will also feature a local spotlight artist and special guest.

Local artists play at 6 p.m., special guests at 7 p.m. and main artists at 8:30 p.m.

Season passes go on sale at 10 a.m. March 13 and individual tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. March 17 on 24tix.com. Tickets can also be purchased at all Graywhale Entertainment locations and Lavender Vinyl in Ogden.

General admission tickets are $5 to $10 in advance and $8.50 to $13.50 the day of the show. VIP tickets are also available for $25 in advance and $30 day of the show. Season VIP tickets are $110.


Oh Land

Nanna Øland Fabricius, known by her stage name Oh Land, is a Danish singer-songwriter. She released her fourth album, "Earth Sick," in 2014, which has been described as a “hybrid of symphonic and electronic sounds, masterfully woven together.”

OK Go

OK Go is an American rock band originally from Chicago, Illinois, now based in Los Angeles, California. The quartet, made up of Damian Kulash, Tim Nordwind, Dan Konopka, and Andy Ross, released its fourth album, “Hungry Ghosts,” in 2014. The group won a Grammy in 2007 for their song "Here It Goes Again."

Louis the Child & TroyBoi

Louis the Child is a Chicago-based duo known for electronic dance music, as is TroyBoi, a London musician.

The Shins

Arguably the most well-known of the headliners, The Shins are an indie band from New Mexico. Their debut album, "Oh, Inverted World," sold nearly a million copies. Their song, "New Slang," is one of their most recognized.

Miike Snow

Miike Snow is a Swedish indie electro-pop trio and released its debut album, "Miike Snow," in 2009. Their most well-known songs include "Heart Is Full" and "Genghis Khan."

According to Ogden Twilight, "if you're not familiar with an artist, we'll have a Spotify playlist going public shortly as well so you can familiarize yourself with any unknowns."
