SALT LAKE CITY — On today's morning menu: fruit kabobs, eggs and sausage. It's different every day, just no donuts or other unhealthy options. The catered breakfast is free to Celtic Bank employees who opt-in to the wellness program.

"With two little kids at home and I have a brand new baby, trying to get everybody out the door and to work and things, I would never eat breakfast otherwise," said Employee Ashley Spencer said.

To take part in the free breakfast program, employees must agree to wear a fitness tracker during work hours. You also have to attend quarterly at least one lunch and learn yoga class or kickboxing class, or meet with personal trainers.

Linda Howell, Celtic Bank's chief marketing officer, said the program has grown over the last year. "We kind of changed gears and said if we're going to do this let's really do this," Howell said. "Let's get people moving. We have very sedentary jobs and a lot of stress, and you know stress is a health concern as well."

Included in the program are on-site personal trainers. Bank executive Mike Fosmark takes advantage of the trainers to stay fit for his family and as a way to destress. "It gives you a refocus during the course of the day," Fosmark said. "You work out typically with your co-workers, so the conversation is around, you know, things we're working on.".

Success in the wellness world is hard to measure. But the bank has seen an increase in activity inside and outside the building. Howell said, "We look at it as a way to attract and retain highly competent people that are interested in being active and living a healthy life."
