MALTA FESTIVAL — After Monday's Have You Seen This, I thought we needed something lighthearted to take our minds off slot canyons and spider nests.
What better way to do that than a fireworks show? YouTube channel Janet Reed captured this video of the fireworks show at the Malta Festival, an international theatre festival.
The whole video is fun, if you like fireworks shows, but the best part is the finale. Toward the end of the video, the sky erupts all at once into bursts of fire from what was apparently a record-setting explosion.
Yesterday's Have You Seen This?
The firework responsible for the sky-filling explosion weighed 573 pounds, which makes it one of the largest single fireworks ever.
While it's not quite as explosive as when San Diego's fireworks show all accidentally went off at once, it's a beautiful sight, and pretty amazing that just one firework could fill almost the entire horizon.
I don't know about you, but it makes me want to head to Malta for next year's festival.
