KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Forward Lew Evans will play for Tennessee as a graduate transfer once he finishes up at Utah State.
Tennessee announced Evans signed the paperwork for his transfer Wednesday.
The 6-foot-9, 230-pound forward from Salt Lake City is set to graduate from Utah State this summer. He averaged 8.4 points and 5.6 rebounds per game in 30 games as a junior last season.
Tennessee coach Rick Barnes says Evans brings much-needed experience to a roster with only two other upperclassmen.
Evans started his college career at Casper College before going to Tulsa where he started 22 games as a sophomore with the Golden Hurricane reaching the NCAA Tournament. Evans then moved home where he sat out the 2014-15 season at Utah State.
