PROVO — Stress makes people do crazy things.

During my days as a sleep-deprived, finals-immersed college student, I spent most of the last few weeks of the semester surviving off vending machine candy from the Union building at Weber State University and energy drinks as I typed 10-page papers I’d procrastinated, in a caffeinated zombie-like haze.

While avoiding studying for one particularly heinous organic chemistry final, my husband tore out the paneling and carpeting from our basement, rationalizing that he was jumpstarting a renovation project he would “get to soon.” Yeah, five years later, still no basement.

One Utah couple saw fit to bring a little happiness into the lives of Brigham Young University students during finals week by inviting them to see what was in their van: puppies.

Normally, we would never advise following strangers with cameras back to their questionably large vehicle but, in this case, it was worth it.

The video — made by The Jurgys on YouTube — shows a gutted Chevy van filled with cute balls of fluff from Puppies For Rent. The couple, who describe themselves as a “young married couple obsessed with creating adventure” on their Instagram bio, said they wanted to give students a study break.

“We got this van to spark joy in our lives but first thought, ‘Why not share the love with the students who are stressed most right now with finals?’” Bryce Jurgy said in the video.

In addition to the joy watching this video will inevitably bring, The Jurgys are hosting a Puppies For Rent giveaway on their Facebook page until April 30.
