OGDEN — Weber State closed spring practices Saturday afternoon with the offense’s 39-27 modified-scoring win over the defense in the annual Purple and White Game at Stewart Stadium.

Jadrian Clark opened the game with a 7-yard TD run on the opening drive, and Eric Wilkes added an 11-yard TD run later in the half.

Taylor Hintz punched in a pair of field goals at 33 and 45 yards to lead the special teams.

Clark completed 4 of 7 passes for 38 yards for the offense, while Billy Green made 4 of 7 throws for 40 yards and Justin Shaw finished with 3 of 6 passing for 31 yards. Transfer quarterback Stefan Cantwell also threw for 61 yards.

Connor McMahon led all receivers with 27 yards on four catches, and Treshawn Garrett paced the ground game with 23 of the offense’s 160 yards.

Weber State opens the 2016 season Sept. 1 at Utah State, with the home opener Sept. 17 against Sacramento State.
