BABY BOOM — Dozens of innocuous how-to-go-into-labor old wives tales exist, and for understandable reasons.

From what I've seen secondhand, by the time a pregnancy comes to full term, the physical feeling is unbearable. You're swollen and sore and sleep-deprived, your feet hurt, you can't breathe or eat normally, and Braxton Hicks contractions just add insult to injury.

If I felt like that, I would try anything to make it stop too, even if that meant the hours and pain of labor and delivery.

When Utah mom Angela Nelson couldn't take it anymore last May, she tried a number of things to send herself into labor.

"I ate a ton of pineapple, ate lots of spicy Greek and Mexican food, did lots of lunges, bouncing on a yoga ball," Angela Nelson said. "I tried politely asking her to come out, and I even tried going to a stand-up comedy show to see if I could laugh the baby out!"

But only one method made it onto video — the un-choreographed dance of the desperate pregnant. I can't do it justice with a description, so you'll just have to watch the video above.

While none of these methods seemed to help Nelson, she sure looks like she had fun trying. But she fully admits she's "not quite 'So You Think You Can Dance' material."

In the end, the methods of desperation don't matter, because the baby will be born either way, and Nelson and her husband Aaron welcomed happy and healthy baby Piper on June 2.
