Wyoming cruises to 76-53 win over Utah State

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Larry Nance Jr. scored 21 points on 9-for-16 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Wyoming to a 76-53 win over Utah State on Wednesday night.

Josh Adams contributed 17 points, including three 3-pointers, and dished out eight assists for Wyoming (22-8, 11-6 Mountain West). Derek Cooke Jr. added 11 points and Alan Herndon had 10 as the Cowboys shot 55.6 percent from the field to avenge their Jan. 27 loss to Utah State and pull into a fourth-place conference tie with the Aggies.

The Cowboys took control with a 10-0 run stretching across both sides of the intermission to make it 45-30 with 17:45 left. The run included two 3-pointers from Riley Grabau and Wyoming held a double-digit lead the rest of the way, ending Utah State's six-game win streak.

Chris Smith led Utah State (18-11, 11-6) with 18 points, Jalen Moore added 11 and David Collette had 10.
