Kansas City quarterback Alex Smith has been called the ultimate game-manager.

Several Utah defensive alumni had significant performances this past week in the NFL. Cleveland’s Paul Kruger made five tackles in the Browns’ 23-7 loss to Houston, while Koa Misi had four tackles in Miami’s 22-9 win over the Buffalo Bills. Derrick Shelby also contributed three tackles for Miami in the win.
Paul Soliai made three tackles in the Atlanta Falcons’ 19-17 win over the Carolina Panthers, and Eric Weddle made four tackles as the San Diego Chargers beat the Oakland Raiders, 13-6. Kansas City’s Sean Smith made two tackles in the Chiefs’ win over Seattle.
BYU alumnus Ezekiel Ansah made three tackles for the Detroit Lions, while teammate Kyle Van Noy had a tackle in the game. However, Detroit fell to the Arizona Cardinals, 14-6.
Seattle’s Robert Turbin (Utah State) rushed for 11 yards in the loss to Kansas City, while Will Davis (Utah State) made a tackle for the Miami Dolphins in the win over Buffalo.
