SALT LAKE CITY — The University of Utah is now ranked in both The Associated Press Top 25 poll and the Amway Coaches Poll.
Although the Utes were on a bye week, Utah moved up to No. 20 in the latest AP poll, jumping four spots from last week's ranking. Utah also moved into the Coaches Poll, ranked as the 23rd best team in the country.
Utah had previously only received votes in the Coaches Poll but did not make the Top 25. Utah is one of six Pac-12 teams that are ranked in both polls: Oregon (9/9), Arizona (16/17), Arizona State (17/18), USC (22/25) and Stanford (23/20).
The Utes will resume play on the Thursday against Oregon State. The Beavers are have received votes in both polls but have yet to crack the Top 25.
Mississippi State is ranked No. 1 in both the AP Poll and the Coaches Poll. Ranked in the Top 5 for both polls is Florida State, Mississippi, Baylor and Notre Dame.
