SALT LAKE CITY — The latest group of Utah veterans to visit their monuments in Washington D.C. will return home this weekend and will be welcomed by friends, family and the public.

The latest Utah Honor Flight group will return to a heroes' welcome Saturday, Sept. 20, at 6:30 p.m. The party is hosted by L3 Communications and KSL and is open to the public beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the L3 Communications parking lot, 640 N. 2200 W. There will be sign making, music, treats, and vintage WWII vehicles.

The veterans will land at the SLC International Airport at 6:30 p.m. and will then be escorted to the welcome celebration featuring patriot guards. Each veteran will be presented with a replica WWII victory medal, a book and a flag by former Director of the Utah Department of Veterans' Affairs, Mr. Terry Schow.
