BONITA SPRINGS, Florida — If you thought sharks were the only thing to fear in the ocean, think again.
A YouTube video posted Aug. 19 shows a group of men fishing off the coast of Bonita Springs, Florida. The men have a 4-foot black tip shark on their fishing line, but a goliath grouper continues circling beneath their catch.
While the men are reeling in the shark, the grouper suddenly surfaces and eats the shark in one bite. Then the giant fish swims away with its prize.
Needless to say, the fishermen were shocked and the video has gone viral.
The goliath grouper is the largest grouper in the western Atlantic and the largest hook and line captured grouper weighed 680 pounds, according to the Florida Museum of Natural History.
