SANDY, Utah (AP) — Olmes Garcia scored his first two goals of the season to help Real Salt Lake beat the 10-man Montreal Impact 3-1 on Thursday night.
Real Salt Lake (8-4-8) won for the second time in its last nine games, while Montreal (3-11-5) lost its fourth straight.
Real Salt Lake opened the scoring in the third minute when Luke Mulholland hammered in a deflected corner kick.
Montreal tied it when Hassoun Camara rolled the ball inside the far post in the 31st minute.
Montreal's Issey Nakajima-Farran was shown a red card in the 65th minute after a studs-up tackle of Chris Schuler.
Real Salt Lake responded five minute later when Garcia headed home a cross from Javier Morales. The duo paired up again in the 93rd minute.
