Binghamton pulls away late to beat St. Francis (Pa.) 73-70

LORETTO, Pa. (AP) — Yosef Yacob forced a key turnover and made two free throws with 15 seconds left to lift Binghamton over St. Francis (Pa.) 73-70 on Saturday night.

The Red Flash had a 15-point lead midway through the second half but the Bearcats chipped away, pulling to 66-64 on Yacob's 3-pointer. St. Francis' Jamaal King hit a jumper and a layup to make it 70-66, and J.C. Show answered with a 3 and the Red Flash led 70-69 with 36 seconds left.

Yacob's free throws gave the Bearcats their first lead of the second half. Bobby Ahearn forced a charging foul and Show made two more from the line to seal it.

Ahearn scored 19 points to lead Binghamton (6-4). Show had 15 points and Yacob added 12.

King scored 22 points for St. Francis (3-4). Josh Nebo had 12 points and 14 rebounds.
