GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) — The trial of a Gillette man accused of killing his girlfriend's 2-year-old son is set to begin Monday.
The Gillette News Record reports (http://bit.ly/2dCSs0Z ) that 36-year-old Donald Foltz Jr. is set to be tried for first-degree murder in connection to the December 2014 death of the toddler.
Forensic experts have testified that the boy died of trauma to his abdomen area.
About a week before his death, the boy was taken to the hospital after complaining of pain in one of his legs. Charging documents say the doctor raised the possibility of child abuse.
Foltz has a previous child abuse conviction involving a 2-year-old child in Greeley, Colorado.
