LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — A lawyer on Thursday urged the Wyoming Supreme Court to overturn the criminal convictions of a former Albany County prosecuting attorney.
Richard Bohling was sentenced in February to serve two- to four years in prison on convictions of four felony counts of obtaining property by false pretenses and one misdemeanor count of misconduct. Prosecutors say he took county cameras and computer gear for personal use.
The Laramie Boomerang (http://bit.ly/1DofqDG ) reports a lawyer for Bohling argued at Thursday's hearing at the University of Wyoming College of Law in Laramie that Bohling shouldn't have been convicted because he never took ownership of the items.
A lawyer for the state argued Bohling's convictions should stand, saying he shot photos on family vacations with the cameras.
The court will issue a written decision later.
