Man claims self-defense in fatal shooting of girlfriend

RIVERDALE, Utah (AP) — Authorities are investigating the death of a woman who was shot by her boyfriend at a Riverdale home.

Police found 30-year-old Jenna Manuel dead from multiple gunshot wounds Sunday night.

Officers had responded after a 41-year-old man called 911 to report he shot the victim, who he says he had been armed with a knife.

The man, who has not been identified, told police he acted in self-defense.

No arrests have been made, and an investigation remains ongoing.
