PATASKALA, Ohio (AP) — Sheriff's deputies have arrested two 15-year-old boys in connection with two bomb threats emailed to the principal of a central Ohio high school this week.
The threats were sent to the principal of Watkins Memorial High School in Pataskala (puh-TAS'-kuh-luh), east of Columbus, on Tuesday and Thursday. The first led to an evacuation of the school, and the second led to a lockdown.
The Licking County Sheriff's Office says one of the boys, who is not a student at the school, hacked into a student's email account to send the threatening emails. No explosives were found during searches of the school.
The boy who sent the email was charged with inducing panic. The other teen, a Watkins student, was charged with complicity.
