SALT LAKE CITY — Two men were taken to the hospital with apparent minor injuries after a "partial" rollover accident involving a Brinks armored truck Monday.

Trooper Gillis with the Utah Highway Patrol said the armored truck was in the left lane on I-80 under the I-15 overpass when the driver lost control of the car and it tipped, or "partially rolled over," on the raised embankment.

Gillis said that both the heavy rain at the time and speed were a factor in the accident.

A 44-year-old male and a 26-year-old male were taken to the hospital as a precaution, but Gillis said they both appeared to have minor injuries.

Traffic was slowed, but the accident did not block traffic. As of 6 p.m. the accident had been cleared, according to UDOT.
