LAYTON — Police responded to the reports of a suspicious package Monday night.

Bomb squads determined the suspicious package in the area of 650 W. Antelope Drive was not incendiary, but it appeared to be some sort of mechanical device.

The area where the suspicious package was reported is a commercial area of Layton, which has several shops and restaurants.

All roads in the area have been reopened.
