MAGNA — Police are asking for help to identify a man who robbed a gas station Tuesday.

The man confronted a clerk at the Shell gas station located at 8145 W. 3500 South at about 2 p.m., according to the Unified Police Department. While demanding money, the man brandished a gun and pointed it at the clerk, investigators said.

The man fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. He was seen traveling on foot in a northeast direction from the gas station.

No one in the store was injured during the incident, according to police. Officers said they were unable to locate the man during a search of the area.

Police said the man should be considered armed and dangerous. They described him as being a caucasian male in his 20s who is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and has blue eyes. He was wearing a red bandana, blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white gloves at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information about the identity or location of the man can contact the Unified Police Department at 801-743-7000.
