SPANISH FORK — Snow and slush contributed to a fatal car accident Tuesday morning, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
Springville resident Clinton Lee Logan, 34, was killed when another car hit him head on at 8:02 a.m. An Infiniti traveling Eastbound on U.S. 6 crossed over the center line and crashed into Logan's Honda Civic while the Infiniti was trying to pass a semi, according to investigators.
UHP said the driver's vision was obscured by snow and slush that was on the roadway.
An air ambulance was called to respond to the accident, but UHP said it could not land because of the weather conditions. Logan was transported to Mountain View Hospital in Payson, but died from his injuries. He was the only occupant in the Honda.
There were two adults and two children in the Infiniti. They were also transported to Mountain View Hospital, UHP said. Their condition has not been released at this time.
