SYRACUSE — Three people were found dead in a Syracuse home Tuesday night.

The bodies were discovered at a home located near 2133 W. 1175 South. Syracuse police were notified of a "disturbance" at about 6:30 p.m. and arrived to find three people dead, Syracuse police officer Erin Behm said.

Police believe that the deaths were caused by a shooting, but they declined to give more details. Behm said that police were not currently seeking a suspect in connection with the deaths.

A neighbor said she heard a gunshot, but thought it could be hunters. However, she reported that 20 minutes later, police arrived in the neighborhood.

Another neighbor said a woman, her boyfriend and the woman's two kids moved into the home just a couple of months ago. Officers responded to the home Monday night when the homeowner's boyfriend came to collect his belongings after a breakup, Behm said. The neighbor said he saw a man outside the home with a U-Haul around 3 p.m. and the man seemed to be distraught.

The individuals have not been identified pending notification of family and the investigation is ongoing.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.
