BOUNTIFUL — A crash involving two motorcycles on I-15 in Bountiful left two people injured Saturday.
The collision happened around 4 p.m. near the 400 North exit when a man riding northbound on a sport bike slowed down to let a friend in a car pass him, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety.
The rider of a cruiser-type motorcycle behind him slammed into the other motorcycle, sending both people on the cruiser into the sport bike.
Both people on the second bike — 24-year-old Andrew Glines of Kaysville and a female passenger — got their arms caught between the rear tire and the frame of the sport bike. They were taken to the University of Utah Hospital with cuts, bruises and road rash.
The woman on the bike was wearing a helmet, Glines was not, troopers said. The rider of the sport bike — 22-year-old Eddie Greer of Woods Cross — was not hurt.
Both motorcycles were going about 70 mph at the time of the crash, troopers said.
