EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has returned to practice on limited basis and hopes to play against the Los Angeles Rams this weekend in London.

The 23-year-old Beckham missed Wednesday's workout because of a hip pointer sustained in Sunday's 27-23 win over the Baltimore Ravens at MetLife Stadium.

Beckham said he felt better Thursday than he did Wednesday, but he refused to say that he would play in Sunday's game at Twickenham Stadium.

"Just make sure you stretch, get up, move around a little bit," Beckham said when asked if he planned to do anything on the flight. "It is going to be tough. I tend to sleep on the plane. It is really the only time I can get away from everybody, everything and all the outside stuff that goes on."

Offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan was optimistic that Beckham would play.

"He's been very focused in terms of assignments, and things that we're going to want to do from a pass game standpoint," Sullivan said. "He's in tune, he's focused, he's determined and again we're hoping for the best."

Beckham had a career game against the Ravens, catching eight passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns. His 66-yard catch and run with 1:24 to play won the game.

"I have been looking forward to this since I saw it on the schedule," said Beckham, who leads the team with 35 catches for 581 yards and three touchdowns. "I took some visits this offseason to London, did a couple things for NFL UK, so I am excited about the opportunity. I am just trying to get better day by day."
