NEW YORK (AP) — A.R. Gurney's romantic play "Love Letters" is about to hit Broadway again with some big movie stars.
The two-person work, composed of letters exchanged over a lifetime between friends who grew up together, will star Brian Dennehy and Mia Farrow from Sept. 13 to Oct. 10, then Carol Burnett and Dennehy from Oct. 11 to Nov. 7, then Alan Alda and Candice Bergen from Nov. 8 to Dec. 5, then Stacy Keach and Diana Rigg from Dec. 6 to Jan. 9, and finally Anjelica Huston and Martin Sheen from Jan. 10 to Feb. 1.
The show will run at the Nederlander Theatre under Gregory Mosher's direction.
The play was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. It debuted on Broadway starring Colleen Dewhurst and Jason Robards in 1989.
