SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah (AP) — Saratoga Springs police have arrested a16-year-old former student in connection with a bomb threat at a high school this week. Investigators tell KSL that the former West Lake High School has a history of making threats similar to the one he issued to his former high school earlier in the week. No explosives were found.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The State School Board has named a temporary superintendent after its two top officials left in recent months. Board members have appointed Joel Coleman to the post. He is currently the superintendent of Utah Schools for the Deaf and Blind. Some members opposed the move, citing a potential conflict of interest as Coleman's wife brings a lawsuit against the Utah Charter School Board.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Attorneys for a man charged with burning down an under construction Salt Lake City apartment building are asking that his federal trial be delayed. A judge has scheduled the trial of Dustin Bowman to start on Sept. 8. The 34-year-old Bowman has pleaded not guilty to a federal arson charge from the Feb. 9 fire. Prosecutors say he admitted to investigators that he started the fire.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A dry wash full of 112-million-year-old dinosaur tracks will open to the public this fall near Moab. Utah Bureau of Land Management paleontologist ReBecca Hunt-Foster says there are more than 200 tracks in an area smaller than a football field. They were first discovered in 2009. Since then, paleontologists led by a team at the University of Colorado at Denver have studied them and prepared them for display.
