SALT LAKE CITY — They say nothing in life is free, but there are quite few people riding UTA who might argue that point.

KSL Investigators discovered Utah Transit Authority lost millions of dollars last year because of "free riders."

Riders throughout the valley are cheating the system and not paying their fares.

KSL Investigators rode the rails to find out how often UTA checks tickets, how much money is lost because of fare evaders and how that lost revenue affects Utahns.
