KSL 5 SALT LAKE FAMILY CHRISTMAS GIFT SHOW CONTEST
OFFICIAL RULES
1. Dates/Eligibility. The KSL 5 Salt Lake Family Christmas Gift Show Contest (the "Contest") begins October 26, 2009, and ends November 11, 2009. KSL 5 TV (the "Station") may change the dates and/or terms of the Contest without prior notice. Any material changes will be posted online at www.ksl.com (the "Site"). The Contest is open to legal residents of Utah, eighteen (18) years of age and older at the time of entry. There is no purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase a contestant's chance of winning. The Contest is void where prohibited by law. Employees or agents of the Station, Bonneville International Corporation, Salt Lake Family Christmas Gift Show or any entity associated with the sponsorship or administration of the Contest (collectively, the "Sponsors"), or any other television or radio station that serves the Salt Lake City, Utah area, as well as members of the same household of any such employee or agent, may not participate in the Contest.
2. How to Enter. A contestant can visit the Site anytime October 26, 2009 through November 11, 2009 and follow the link to the page describing the Contest. Each contestant must complete and submit an entry form as instructed at the Site. Limit one (1) entry per email address. All entries become the property of the Station.
3. Selection of Winner. On November 12, 2009 the Station will select one (1) winner at random from all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The Station will attempt to contact the winner using the information provided on the entry form. If the Station is unable to contact the winner in a timely manner, the winner's name will be discarded and an alternate winner chosen. On November 13, the winner must appear at the Show Office of the Seventh Annual Salt Lake Family Christmas Gift Show at the South Towne Exposition Center in Sandy, Utah (the "Show") sometime between 10:00 am and noon to claim their prize and participate in the shopping spree.
4. Prize. One (1) prize will be awarded in the Contest. The prize will consist of a $1,000 holiday shopping spree at the Show. The prize may not be substituted, transferred or exchanged. The winner will be responsible for any taxes or fees that result from the receipt and/or use of the prize and may receive an IRS Form 1099-Misc. The winner will be required to produce identification satisfactory to the Station and sign an affidavit of eligibility and release (including a publicity release) as prepared by the Station prior to receiving their prize.
5. Conditions/Restrictions. The Station is not responsible for technical, hardware, software or transmission failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections or incomplete, garbled or delayed computer messages. Each entry must use a valid email address. In exchange for the right to enter the Contest, each Contestant agrees to release and indemnify each of the Sponsors, and each of the respective officers, directors, agents, parent companies, subsidiaries and employees of the Sponsors, for, from and against any and all claims, demands and/or causes of action of any kind or nature whatsoever, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, that arise out of the contestant's participation in the Contest. Entry into the Contest constitutes permission for each of the Sponsors and/or their respective designees to use the contestant's name, likeness, portrait, voice and/or biographical material for an unlimited period of time in order to advertise, promote or publicize the Sponsors and/or the products and services of any of their designees. Anyone using fraudulent means to participate in and/or win the Contest will be subject to disqualification.
6. Rules. Copies of these rules are free and available at the Site, at the Station's studios, Broadcast House, 55 North 300 West, P.O. Box 1160, Salt Lake City, Utah 84110-1160, during regular business hours, or by sending a request, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Station at this address.
