The Junior Database Administrator will assist the Senior Database Administrator in supporting the company’s vast database environments. -Review SQL Server stored procedures and execution plans. Implement indexes for optimization.
-Translate business reporting needs into SQL queries and end user reports.
-Help monitor database system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements
-Help monitor database maintenance plans and SQL Server Agent jobs
-Assist in database backups and ensure that Disaster Recovery and Data Retention protocols are adhered to
-Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues
-Manage security at all levels of SQL Server
-Work with the Senior Database Administrator for database upgrades and releases
-Participate actively in documentation process
-1-2 years’ experience in database administration
-Knowledge of database design, implementation, transaction processing, referential integrity, performance tuning and monitoring with an emphasis in MS SQL.
-Experience and knowledge with Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012 and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.
-Basic knowledge of SQL Server High Availability solutions.
-Knowledge and understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle.
-Knowledge of database backup and recovery methods.
-Experience in mirroring and log shipping
-MS SQL SSIS packages development/deployment.
-Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 or 2013 experience a plus.
-Basic understanding of business needs including marketing and accounting.
-Ability to organize your workload and continually improve processes.
-Great written and verbal communication skills.
-Friendly & able to interact with other departments well.
-Set and accomplish department goals and meet project deadlines.
-Must be available to work on a full time basis, Mon – Fri from 8am-5pm.
The Junior Database Administrator position is a full-time salary position and is eligible for health and dental benefits. Salary is depending on experience.
