Azteca Systems Inc. began as a consulting firm focused on delivering cartographic mapping support to US Federal agencies. The company pioneered a new approach to work management with Cityworks and in 1996 released the first iteration of the product. A recognized industry leader, Azteca Systems created Cityworks, a GIS-centric asset maintenance management solution integrated with Esri’s GIS technology. The Cityworks approach is innovative and unique among a cadre of legacy systems, leveraging the inherent value and investment of GIS data.
Due to an expanding client base, Azteca Systems is looking for a talented and capable Technical Trainer/Cloud Server Architect to join the Educational Services Department. The main focus of the position consists of offering live, web, and on-site training for Cityworks software users.
Utilize strong, interpersonal communication skills to deliver live training courses at Cityworks headquarters. Present technical content in a clear and concise manner to Cityworks customers and business partners, who will attend four and five-day courses. Share examples of varied software application throughout the training course while adhering to a detailed course outline. Involve attendees to share insights of how Cityworks is used in their daily work with each other.
Use Go-To-Meeting to deliver web training and involve all attendees during the web sessions. Works as part of a team with other trainers to coordinate sessions.
Support the annual Cityworks User Conference by delivering training to customers and business partners who attend preconference training.
On occasion, trainers travel to customer sites and give live training.
Train new Cityworks employees on Cityworks and other third-party software. Work with the Educational Services Manager and other trainers to give one-on-one sessions over the web or in conjunction with larger live trainings.
Training Documentation and Course Content
Review training documentation, test functionality, and make suggested edits. Add relevant, new content to courses for new software releases.
The Educational Services Department uses cloud servers as training environments. A key component of this new position would be for the applicant to help other Cityworks Training staff create, maintain, and update cloud server environments to be used in training courses as well as testing future software releases for training, etc.
RequirementsExperience: 2 years as a technical trainer. 1 year creating/maintaining cloud server environments which should include Virtual Machines (VMs) and/or Amazon Machine Instances (AMIs).
