Job Description
This position is responsible for running a CNC lathe, and programming of the lathe; machining equipment parts and spare parts for our customers. These parts are manufactured by the SLC equipment plant for customers all across the United States and abroad.
JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.
•Perform machine shop operations to help assembly floor and customer parts orders.
•Work closely with the Engineering Department to keep specs correct and make suggestions how to improve the manufacturing of parts.
•Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows the prescribed safety instructions.
•Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: Milling, Drilling, Taping, De-burring, & Lathe work.
•Basic understanding of G codes and M Codes; should also be familiar with Fanuc Controls.

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
•At least 2 years experience with CNC machines & programming
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:
•High School Diploma or GED
SPECIFIC SKILLS:
•Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift over 50 pounds.
•Occasionally required to stoop or kneel
•Able to read blue prints
•At least 2 years experience with CNC machines & programming
