Job Description
Candidate must have 3-5 year design experience in Missy contemporary knits, tops, skirts - women’s swim is a bonus. Good color sense and detail.
Design and develop import packages.
Good knowledge of fabric and trim market- sourcing required- experience in both domestic and international development.
Candidate must have experience in: Analyzing & evaluating garment fit and construction. Conduct fittings with fit models. Ensure fittings and graded specifications are completed on calendar in a timely manner. Trouble-shooting garment fit issues. Creating technical packs.
Monitor development process from 1st proto to TOP sample; cut & sew production, patternmaking, garment construction, sewing details & fit sessions. Communicate with supervisors/managers, vendors and suppliers on all technical issues and providing detailed feedback and solutions.
Candidates should be creative and possess good communication and organizational skills as well as be a team player. Must have strong sense of urgency and excellent follow up skills. Strong attention to detail with capability to meet deadlines. Must be able to simultaneously handle multiple projects in a fast pace environment. Must be flexible and able to travel domestically.
