BCI is a national construction company specializing in commercial construction projects. We maintain the highest standard of integrity at BCI, and it is reflected in every project and relationship that we build. Our philosophy is that we must treat employees, subcontractors, suppliers and community with the same respect we have for our clients. We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager is an integral member of the BCI team.
Take ownership of the estimating/bidding process on assigned projects. Creates schedules and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities. Price/prepare any additional pricing on the project Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Attend pre cons, review MTO's, pull permits and licensing, and manage punch lists. Effectively applies our methodology, communication and enforces project standards. Will hire and terminate employees as needed with supervisor input/support. Minimizes our exposure and risk on project. Verify all employees meet site specific training. (i.e. forklift certified, safety certified) Build a sub base/list for current stores and back up. Prepare contracts for subcontractors and see that they are signed and sent in correctly. Ensures Close out project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. (IE Pro Log, ESA) Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis. Manages project budget. Thoroughly checks requirements to buy the proper scope Awards subs in a timely manner to ensure release of materials Releases materials for record only when possible Ensures that subs are aware of (and commit to) the project schedule Provide subs with as much information as possible (PM, Super, permit, status, etc.) Daily reporting per BCI Standards.
MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL 5 years experience in similar job requirements Must have valid driver's license and have acceptable driving record, background check and clean drug test results Proficient with computer software programs such as Microsoft word, excel and outlook including email attachments Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar, basic business math Well versed in creating, maintaining, and communication schedules Must be able to fill out misc form, contracts, and spreadsheets Think critically and ability to solve problems Handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion Good judgment Organizational skills Customer service skills
