JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Accountant is charged with financial reporting, running company payroll, Accounts Payable and preparing taxes for the company. • Financial reporting; review all new contracts and recognize revenue, publish accurate monthly quarterly and annual financial reports, perform internal audit, coordinate and execute annual audit of financial statements • Work with sales departments on annual sales compensation plans • Calculate bi-weekly commissions amounts for sales people • Maintain payroll information and update payroll records • Production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts • Prepares reports y compiling summaries of earning, taxes, deductions, leave, disability and nontaxable wages • Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions • Maintains complete confidentiality with employee and payroll operations • Accounts Payable; maintain “A” credit rating • Reconcile corporate credit card and makes sure all transactions are entered into accounting system • Manage fixed asset purchases and asset tagging and depreciation of assets per classification • Develops and implements accounts payable systems, procedures and policies • Maintains and conducts all internal audits applicable to all facets of the AP process including purchasing, corporate credit card expenses, and employee expense reporting • Organize and maintain the AP filing system, including paper and electronic invoices, general accounting data and providing scanned invoices and related documents for all balance sheet accounts to general ledger accounting staff • Complies with IRS and state 1099 and 1042 reporting requirements for payments made through the AP system • Manages supplier relationships through prompt payment and reconciled account activity • Taxes; preparation of work papers supporting annual taxes return • Coordinate annual preparation of tax return with outside CPA firm • Field all owner tax questions • Process property tax and annual 1099M and 1099INT
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting • 3-5 years experience in Accounting • Superior spreadsheets skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel • Knowledge of Intacct or similar ERP software is a must • Knowledge of Paymentech preferred • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
