StorageCraft is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician. We are looking for someone who wants to embark on an exciting career working with a fun, talented and enthusiastic team. Test a range of software applications on a number of different operating systems, including Windows and Linux. You will need to have an attention to detail and a desire to ensure the products we release are of the highest possible quality at all times. If you have the interest and aptitude to write scripts, especially in Python, then that is a real advantage. Technician will also need to: • Work as an integral part of the engineering test team to debug and troubleshoot a range of products • Learn new technology quickly • Learn to write test scripts and test plans • Be self-motivated, pro-active, determined and driven
Minimum Qualifications: • Smart and quick learner with genuine interest in technology • A good working knowledge of Windows and computers • Someone who enjoys troubleshooting and problem solving • Some knowledge of virtualization technology such as VMware or VirtualBox • Able to work in a team-based environment, self-motivated and willing to follow through with an issue until it is solved. Knowledge of any of the following is an advantage: • Knowledge of Linux or OS X • Some coding and scripting experience is a real advantage, especially with Python • Common diagnostic and troubleshooting tools for Windows and Linux • Good working knowledge of computer hardware • Backup application (volume and/or file based) • Networks (DHCP, DNS, firewalls) • Remote desktop management software Education: A minimum of High school diploma is required. An Associate degree, some college, or equivalent experience preferred.
