The Cloud Architect will be part of our cloud development team building out the next generation cloud functionality. The team has high visibility in the company and is important for our ongoing success. You will be one of the core architects who will help deliver on the product vision.
• Experience with distributed file systems and object storage (Hadoop/Cassadra/Ceph). • SQL database expertise – We make extensive use of MySQL. A SQL background is extremely valuable to the success of this project. • System evaluation and problem analysis: networking traffic analysis, software inspection, and performance analysis for networking and storage systems. • Open source world – You have lived in open source code for most or a good part of your career and are not a fan of the commercial software world. For example, you have no problem using Vim or Emacs as your “IDE”. • Team player – You work well as part of a team, and are willing to take direction, but can be trusted to get things done on your own. • Hard working – Once you get your bearings, you are heads-down and tenacious in completing assigned projects. • Experience with Python development is a plus. • Experience with Agile framework and Jira is a plus.
• 1-2 years experience with cloud provisioning systems, ideally OpenStack • Must be competent with SQL • Strong experience of working in multi-threaded and distributed environment. • Proficient in data structures and algorithms. • Must be knowledgeable with Linux and general system administration • Ability to stay on task, solve problems, and accomplish tasks in a timely manner • Able to work well with other team members • Must be qualified to work in the United States • Must be willing to work onsite in Orem, UT Endurance prides itself on hiring the best and brightest minds in the industry.
