Repairs, installs and performs preventive maintenance on all production equipment to ensure that such equipment is in good operable condition at all times. Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
Duties and Responsibilities: • Install, operate, maintain, check and assists in troubleshooting all types of compressors, conveyers, hydraulic, and electrical equipment. • Installs, operates, maintains and checks all types of mechanical equipment as directed. • Performs preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments and repairs. Completes work orders and assigned work as directed by supervisor or lead. • Completes all reports and paperwork as required for company record keeping. • Troubleshoots and repairs heavy rebar bending and industrial machinery. • Assists in installing and repairing electrical conduits, cables, piping, and tubing, including all necessary connection controls and grounding as directed. • Operates mobile lift truck and hoisting equipment in the performance of maintenance work. • Cleans and paints all repaired equipment as directed. • Performs all PM and repair working accordance with GMP principals. • Possesses some knowledge of lubricants for all types of machines and performs necessary lubrication of production machinery as directed. • Helps maintain spare parts inventory for plant as directed by checking out parts from parts mezzanine, using parts procedure, and restocking shelves as directed. • Order parts for equipment • Maintains inventory of industrial maintenance tools per department tool list (necessary personal tools of the trade) • Complete tasks indicated on work orders, inspections checklists as directed by supervisor. • Keeps work area clean. Perform cleaning of area assigned. • Trains less experienced employees as required. • Provides suggestions to improve process, procedures and department in support of company goals • Follows Company, GMP and Safety policies. • Maintains a positive and constructive work environment within the department as well as with other departments and promotes teamwork. • Works in a safe manner, observing all safety requirements. • Participates in monthly departmental meetings. • Must work various shifts and hours including holidays and weekends
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in industrial maintenance and electrical required. Minimum of 1 year experience in mechanical field required. Minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing or production environment preferred. Must possess working knowledge of industrial machinery, hydraulic systems and air systems. Ability to read semi-complex diagrams and troubleshooting systems. Must read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints, use simple shop math and possess knowledge of local, state and federal codes. Knowledge of arc welding equipment, gas cutting equipment, power tools such as drill presses, cut off saws and portable table tools, electrical test equipment, such as voltmeter, ohmmeter, mehger and ampmeter. Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
