Description: Industrial Truckmount Equipment Technician/Mechanic Industrial Equipment Technician / Mechanic Job Purpose: Maintain, service, diagnose, test and inspect commercial equipment used in the carpet cleaning industry. Wage- $32,000-38,000 depending on experience and qualifications plus benefits including health insurance, 401k match are available. Regular Schedule- Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Truckmount Technician / Mechanic Job Duties: • Works as a team member to provide exceptional service to valued customers in a fun and challenging environment. • Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing, completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, replacing filters, cleaning holding tanks. • Corrects and repairs equipment failures by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical system malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing equipment damage. • Verifies proper operation of equipment by conducting testing, adjusting controls, vacuum, and chemical feed systems. • Complies with safety requirements and follows procedures, performs to high standards. • Maintains equipment appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting. • Maintains records by recording service and repairs. • Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance. • Notifies Service Manager when supplies are needed and monitors stock to ensure availability of needed supplies. • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications, utilizing technical support systems that are in place. • Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing required paperwork and electronic record keeping.
Skills/Qualifications: • Must work well with customers and co-workers • Must be able to lift. have a high energy level, dependability, persistence, time management, ability to work well independently and as a team, safety management, problem solving, dealing with complexity, analyzing information. • Must own a basic set of mechanic tools. Specialty tools are supplied as needed. • Occasional overtime may be required.
