    Job Description

    Position Title: Medical Receptionist (Part-Time) 1.30 to 5.30 Monday through Thursday (16 hours per week) Location: OnSite Care Clinic at Vivint (Provo, Utah) Reports To: Clinic Physician/OnSite Care Clinic Manager Overall Responsibility: Serves patients by greeting and helping them; scheduling appointments; maintaining records and accounts. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries. Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone. Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays. Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area. Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records. Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information. Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges and basic understanding of medical insurance billing. Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs. Helps patients in distress by responding to patient needs. Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information. Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Benefits: Not eligible for benefits. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Candidates are required to pass a background check, E-Verification and drug test before beginning employment. In addition, employees are subject to random drug testing.     Requirements

    Experience Requirements: At least two years as a Medical Receptionist. Skills and Attributes: Multi-tasking, Flexibility, Telephone Skills, Customer Service, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Scheduling, Word Processing , Professionalism, Quality Focused. Bi-lingual preferred. Experience as Medical Assistant or CNA preferred.
