Busy personal injury law firm looking for litigation assistant.
Relocation costs may be covered.
Prior litigation experience a plus, including drafting complex correspondence, Complaints, Summons, disclosures, discovery responses, accomplishing service of process, etc. Also, practical experience and working knowledge of Utah Rules of Civil Procedure, as well as federal & state court/e-filing procedures would be very helpful. Strong clerical skills, including faxing, scanning documents and duplicating information electronically (CDs/PDFs) to assembling briefs, & exhibits or provide large disclosures of information electronically. Experience with scheduling and managing attorneys' calendars (for discovery deadlines and attorneys' appearances), experience with maintaining positive client relations, strong organizational & follow up skills "making sure things do not fall through the cracks", proactive approach to problem solving for both attorneys and clients. Ability to work cohesively with attorneys, including anticipating what needs to be done for files ahead of time when attorneys are going to be out of the office & making sure it gets done (for example, expert witness disclosures & discovery responses, initial disclosures etc.) 65+ WPM ; dictaphone ; Proficient in word processing, power point, spreadsheets
