Position: IT Network Technician Department: IT Department Job Status: Full-Time FLSA Status: Non-exempt Reports To: IT Manager Amount of Travel Required: 0% to 10% Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Overtime work, weekend work, and night work as needed. Position Summary: Performs business systems support and system administration functions. Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities: ??? Will be part of a team designing, installing, and maintaining LAN and WAN hardware and software in a high availability ISP environment. ??? Knowledge of servers, network equipment and routers. Capable of explaining to internal and external customers on how these components function in a networking environment. ??? Become knowledgeable on products and services being offered and be willing to sell to customers. ??? Experience in one or more of the following is preferred: MPLS, OSPF, VMware ESXi, DOCSIS, DSLAM, Brocade or Cisco routing. Computer/Software Skills: Extremely proficient in all aspects of computer use and central office equipment. Work Environment: The person will work in the central offices and with individual employees regarding desk top support.

Relevant degree is preferred; previous experience is a plus.
