The Accounting & Finance manager manages and oversees the impeccable execution of Baptiste Institute accounting, HR, and IT areas. Accounting/Finance responsibilities include maintaining books and records of company, preparing monthly close of books and account analysis, including compiling financial statements. Human capital management includes, administering all on/off boarding of employees, benefits, and coordinating the performance reviews of staff with each department. Manage the IT infrastructure and equipment necessary to run effective operations in all areas. Will require excellent organizational and communication skills and will include training and development of office manager as well as advising and supporting key leaders in each business area on financial controls, processes, and budgeting/reporting. This person will also be responsible for overseeing that Baptiste Institute Staff have whatever resources, training, tools and materials needed to effectively and efficiently perform their roles. The Finance Manager will operate autonomously and possess initiative and entrepreneurial/creative looking. The Finance manager will also liase with key leaders of each business area, responsible for supporting healthy margins, low costs, and accurate financial controls in every area. This position supports each team to deliver on their respective financial accountabilities as it pertains to the bottom line of the business. The Finance manager will oversee the office manager and a team of volunteers, and work closely with the Operations Manager and Strategy & Development Manager, to ensure that the financial and human capital aspects of the organizations are running efficiently, and to support the generation of unprecedented enrollment in our programs, events, affiliation& certification intiatives, and studio classes while marginalizing costs, and generating unprecedented revenue growth in the retail division. The Finance Manager will also be involved with the overall strategy of the BPYI and promotion of the mission and core values to ensure that these messages are integrated into all areas of production, client interaction, and client experience of program, studio, certification, affiliation, and retail divisions, as well as operating in alignment with Baptiste Operating Principles. Financial Accountabilities Do all bookkeeping Manage all day-to-day aspects of accounting and finance on both revenue and cost side of the business. This includes (but is not limited to) payroll, invoicing, collection of revenue, cash flow management). Manage the financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems; Manage the budgeting process, monitor financial performance and ensure regular reporting on a quarterly basis. Identify and create key performance metrics across all business areas. Create quarterly financial dashboards for each division lead and for CEO/Owner of company Liase with auditors and tax accountant to ensure annual monitoring is carried out; Drive project execution on time and on budget Develop business cases to assess the feasibility of new ventures/products/programs Work with key stakeholders across the business to advise on financial and accounting matters Work with key stakeholders across the business to create and implement financial controls on all key financial processes in their respective areas Work with key stakeholders to create budgets, projections and business plans annually Developing financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk; Manage corporate insurance policies for general liability, oversees events, event insurance, and volunteer workers compensation providing and interpreting financial information; monitoring and interpreting cash flows and forecasting future trends. HR & IT Accountabilities Manage the HR function in the business, taking accountability for HR processes, manage suppliers of HR services. Create employee handbook, maintain all employee files, monitoring/tracking time off, manage collection of performance reviews, administer raises/bonuses, deliver onboarding training, manage all performance issues Secure and administer benefit plan(s) for the business ??? e.g. health insurance or HSA, WC Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and policies Create pay scales and job descriptions as needed Responsible for compliance with employment laws and policies for Baptiste Leader Teacher Faculty members Manage the IT function in the business, ensuring the business is supported with the required systems and IT infrastructure. Manage any IT contractors and suppliers. Partner in the selection and implementation and training of new systems Act as a member of the BPYI Leadership team and contribute to the BPYI wide strategic agenda and decisions Priorities and Goals for 2013: Move financial management,systems and processes in-house from outside contractors. Establish the optimal set-up with regards to new systems and processes. Ensure integrated view of finances across systems (e.g. across accounting software, MindBody Online, credit card processing) Coordinate budgeting process with each division leader and monitor budgets, establishing quarterly budget meetings with each division. Establish financial controls and processes for all areas of business Put in place regular/quarterly monitoring and reporting of budgets and financial results Provide financial analysis to support pricing decisions Develop and deliver quarterly financial dashboards to each division lead and COO/Owner Develop and launch HR processes and policies (together with the COO) Establish an effective model to manage, develop and support internal IT systems Reporting lines: Reporting into the COO Direct reports: office manager and volunteer core in Park city Work closely with Strategy & Development Manager. - See more at: http://www.baronbaptiste.com/about/our-team/join-our-team/#accounting_office

Qualities Experienced at managing financial, HR, IT areas of comparable sized businesses. Excellent communicator and people person, skilled at training and developing team members and competent at managing difficult conversations. Proficient knowledge of IT requirements and infrastructures. Expert at sorting and analyzing a great deal of detailed information across all divisions in light of a global awareness and big picture view of the organization. Possess the capacity to both lead and work as a member of a team. Communication, organization, and interpersonal skills are necessary. Ability to both strategize, create, and act and implement with equal ease.
