Cares for infants and toddlers during the Sunday morning church service and for other events as scheduled by the Director of Religious Education or other church committees. Specific Responsibilities: 1. Arrives in the nursery on time, as scheduled (at least 15 minutes before Sunday service begins). 2. Checks to see that the room is in order and that there are no hazards present. Sets up appropriate toys and equipment. 3. Greets parents/guardians and children. Requests that parent/guardian leave diaper bags and appropriate supplies. 4. Provides parents with sign-in forms and keeps attendance. Provides new parents with copy of nursery guidelines and verifies that they have filled out registration forms. 5. Complies with all REGAL safety procedures requested of them by the Director of Religious Education. Completes safety training at the request and expense of the church. 6. Cares for children while parents are in Service or other programming. 7. Communicates with parents upon their return about the children. 8. Leaves the nursery in good order. Puts toys away. Disposes of trash as directed. 9. Informs Coordinator when supplies are low. SCHEDULE ??? Sundays (June???August): 10:15 a.m.???12:15 p.m. ??? Sundays (September???May): 9:00 a.m.???12:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m., depending on Adult RE Schedule ??? Mondays (Sept. 9???Nov. 18, and Jan. 13???May 19), 6:30 p.m.???8:00 p.m. ??? Occasional hours for other church events Caregiver may take an occasional Sunday off for holidays or travel, but a substitute must be scheduled and ample notice of at least two weeks is required.
Relocation costs may be covered.
??? Must have experience working with young children. ??? Must pass a criminal background check. ??? Must be able to effectively communicate with parents, children, and with the DRE. ??? Must be at least 18 years of age. ??? Must be able to provide own transportation. ??? Must have current CPR and First Aid certification.
