POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for all Accounts Payable. These tasks will be performed on a weekly and Bi-weekly basis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Payables 1. Data Entry of invoices into the Great Plains Accounting System. 2. Follow up with employee / vendor regarding any unresolved Invoices or Purchase Order Requisitions. 3. Maintain Purchase Order Requisition files to match up with Invoices. 4. Make sure each Invoice has a Purchase Order Requisition or Check Request with proper management approvals. 5. Code all invoices to the proper general ledger (GL) code and department. 6. Check run and posting of weekly entries every Thursday. 7. Prepare interim ???Manual Checks" as required. 8. Reconcile accounts with Vendors, Trace payments and get copies of missing invoices. 9. All non-corporate vendors over $500.00 will need to have a W-9 form completed who does business with HSPS including employees for expense reports and consulting. This is a contract position.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Associates in Accounting or Finance along with experience in related field. 10 key skills 45-60 WPM typing Experience with Great Plains Accounting software helpful. Spreadsheet knowledge or skills Basic Word Processor skills. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. General office environment. Some stress may occur. You must be available to work 40 hours a week from 8 am - 5 pm shift. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demand described here are representative of those that must by met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear. The employees is occasionally required to walk or move; use hands to handle, finger, or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
