    Job Description

    The Children's Justice Center is a homelike environment that eliminates the need for multiple interviews, and is non-threatening to victims. By utilizing the CJC, investigators can coordinate and begin the investigative process with a minimal amount of trauma to child victims of physical or sexual abuse. The Children???s Justice Center Director will perform a variety of administrative and crisis management supervision duties to expedite services in the Tooele County Children???s Justice Center (CJC). The Children???s Justice Director will: Direct the overall operations of the CJC by planning short and long-term goals, developing policies, protocols and services. Develops and monitors yearly program budget including allocation, revenue collection, budget projections, and expenditures. Represents the CJC on the Utah State Children???s Advisory Board and works closely with the local Advisory board Directs and assists in the coordination of crisis intervention in the CJC; coordinates referrals to community resources for therapy, medical services, housing, food service, etc. to ensure continuity in the investigation and prosecution process. Regularly reviews cases and/or supplemental case staffing with educators, law enforcement, and prosecutors.

    Requirements

    A. Bachelor???s degree in a Human Services related field with a Social Service Worker license or the ability to obtain a Social Service Worker license following the required number of supervised hours and completion and passing of the ABSW test. And B. Two years of full-time paid employment with at least one of those years preferably in social services related and/or law enforcement and demonstrated experience with management, supervision or administrative experience while at work.
