This position is responsible for providing strong leadership Product Development department of a upholstery furniture manufacturing plant. The Operations Manager recruits, trains, evaluates, motivates, delegates and monitors the activities of all associates reporting to this position and ensures that daily departmental goals are met while achieving established objectives in Safety, Service, Quality and Cost. ??? Responsible for implementation of systems and standards in order to streamline processes. ??? Development of specification sheets for old and new styles ??? Create standard operating procedures for production functions ??? Establish and maintain standard cost system ??? Ensure samples are built to specifications and built on time ??? Create product change forms ??? Develop product and ensure it is manufacturing/production friendly ??? Assist with determining rates for new styles ??? Work closely with manufacturing leadership to ensure processes are streamlined.

??? Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, or related area. ??? 1-3 years management experience in distribution environment or 7-10 years management in distribution, logistics, business or manufacturing environment. Preferably in a Product Development environment for upholstered furniture. ??? Strong leadership, communication, inter-personal and financial planning skills ??? Expert PC skills in all Microsoft Office applications ??? Auto cad and or lectra knowledge
